Shawn Cole began his journey into photography in 2004 ,while
working at a factory in central Kentucky. He returned home
to Paintsville, KY in late 2006. Since then, He has been capturing the
hidden beauty of Eastern Kentucky for the past five years. His
work has been sought after by collectors as far away as
California and Washington. Proof that Kentucky beauty far
exceeds the area market.
In 2010, Shawn released his first book,"Eastern Kentucky
Horses: Images from the mountains". The book is pictorial view of
horses from thirteen counties in Eastern Kentucky. The book
was labeled "MUST HAVE" by the Paintsville Herald newspaper.
His images provokes such strong emotions in people here and
around the state. His ability to capture a moment in time and
display it for the world to see, is amazing. His "eye" for seeing his
local surroundings will have him around for a very long time.
